Travelling to Budapest
Many international airlines operate flights to Budapest throughout the year, including a range of cheap flights.
Flights to Budapest land at Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) some 25 km far from the city centre.

Taxi:
You may take a taxi from Liszt Ferenc Airport to the city centre (or the conference venue).
The cost is appr. EUR 40-50 EUR, depending on the traffic.

Public transport:
- Find Bus 200E towards Kőbánya-Kispest. Then take Metro line 3 which takes you to the city centre.
If you approach the conference venue, take Metro line 3 till Árpád híd and change Tram 1 towards Buda that is 2 stops till Szentlélek tér.
Estimated time: 1 hour
- Find Bus 100E towards Deák Ferenc Square, which is in the city centre. (special ticket needed at 900 HUF = 3 EUR)
Accommodation
Accommodation is highly recommended to be arranged as early as possible due to the popularity of Budapest as a tourist destination.
Bus 16 stops right in front of the conference venue in the Buda castle district. The route of bus 16 is indicated in the map. For convenience, it is recommended to book a hotel near the final stops of bus 16: Deák Ferenc tér (on the Pest side, the right one) or Széll Kálmán tér (on the Buda side, left one).
Travelling in Budapest
It is recommended to use public transport services to travel in Budapest. The four metro lines, bus lines and tram lines are quite extensive.

Citizens of the European Union countries and Switzerland aged 65 and up can use all public transport lines for free in Budapest (they have to show a valid ID to verify age and nationality if asked by a ticket inspector)
